Social Graph

A map of the social connections of an individual, developed by identifying relationships with other individuals and connecting with them via a social network. 

One of the first activities upon joining a social network is to identify individuals with whom one has an acquaintance or has something in common, and then issuing invitations through the social network to develop relationships by designating each other as friends.

Varying levels of relationships within an individual’s social graph are accorded increasing levels of trust related to personal information and communications.
