Opt out

In email or internet marketing where the recipient is given an option to be removed from the marketer's list only after the communication is sent. 

This is distinguished from permission marketing also referred to as opting in,  where the recipient of advertising or marketing has agreed to receive the marketer's communication before the communication is sent. .
