OEM

OEM stands for ‘original equipment manufacturer.’ OEMs manufacture products or components that are sold under the OEM’s brand name,  (i.e., RIM selling products under the Blackberry brand name) or purchased by a company and retailed under the purchasing company's brand name.

(Although we've included OEM in the Mobile section, the term is used across numerous industries in addition to mobile telcommunications.)
