Listening Area

The gegoraphic are in which a station's signal can be received. Usually divided into primary and secondary areas:

Listening Area, Primary
The area in which the signal is sufficiently strong to be generally static-free and non-fading.

Listening Area, Secondary
The outlying portion of a station's listening area, in which the signal is subject to static and fading.
