Average Page Views

a website metric/kpi that measures the quality of your visitors’ website experience: the higher the average page view, the more positive the visitor experience. Typically, higher page views are the result of:

  • Targeted traffic – the site attracts users who are interested in the content
  • High quality content
  • A well organized and easily navigated site

Higher average page views can also result from an inability of a visitor to find what they need; they should be analyzed within the context of conversions, checkout and cart abandonment, and other website metrics.
